March 2024

Responsible AI from Middle States Association

RAIL is a comprehensive implementation framework for AI in schools and systems. It’s like accreditation for the adoption of AI—and it comes from Middle States, the world’s trusted school accreditor since 1887.

 

October 2023

Executive Order on AI Safety and Security

The White House issued a landmark Executive Order to ensure that America leads the way in seizing the promise and managing the risks of artificial intelligence (AI). The Executive Order establishes new standards for AI safety and security, protects Americans’ privacy, advances equity and civil rights, stands up for consumers and workers, promotes innovation and competition, advances American leadership around the world, and more.

AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit

The AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit from Teach AI is a great resource for leaders looking to create thoughtful guidance to help their communities realize the potential benefits of incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) in primary and secondary education while understanding and mitigating the potential risks. ​

 

August 2023

AI for Educators

Teach AI released a new, free course called AI for Educators. A collaboration of Khan Academy, ETS, ISTE and Code.Org, this resource will “demystify AI, explore responsible implementation, address bias, and showcase how AI-powered learning can revolutionize student outcomes.”

Teach AI Coalition Announced

The TeachAI Coalition is committed to provide thought leadership to guide governments and educational leaders in aligning education with the needs of an increasingly AI-driven world and connecting the discussion of teaching with AI to teaching about AI and computer science.
